Sikh Soldier Granted Religious Exemption in Rare Army Exception

In a rare move by the U.S. Army, Captain Simratpal Singh–a member of the Sikh faith–has been granted a temporary religious exemption to retain his beard and hair in accordance with the Sikh tradition.  From the New York Times
