Kerry Troup
Kerry Troup oversees all communications for the 1st Amendment Partnership. Since its launch in 2014, she has run Faith Counts, a multifaith platform that promotes the value of faith in America. In 2023, she and the Faith Counts team and faith partners launched a program called Faith Facts, that leverages data, experts and stories to showcase the tangible contributions of religious faith.
Prior to the 1st Amendment Partnership, Kerry spent nearly 20 years in corporate PR at the global communications agency Fleishman-Hillard. Her award-winning work included marketing campaigns on behalf of Procter & Gamble, ExxonMobil, Whirlpool and Hasbro. She also worked in fashion PR at Ralph Lauren, Harper’s Bazaar and Canali Menswear.
A practicing but imperfect Catholic, Kerry is an alumna of the University of New Hampshire, and resides in Washington, D.C., with her Episcopalian husband and their two children, who are confirmed Catholic but attend Episcopalian schools.
Favorite Movies: Gladiator, Gandhi, The Sound of Music and Chariots of Fire. She is aware movies have been made more recently, but like a lot of things, newer doesn’t always mean better.
Favorite Faith Counts Meme: Anne Frank, with the quote: “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
Favorite Bible Verse, subject to change: John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
