Katie currently serves as Director of External Relations and Senior Policy Counsel at the 1st Amendment Partnership. She works with legislators and religious groups to find solutions that respect the dignity of all people while protecting the freedom to worship, believe, and live in faith.
Katie is an alumni of Tulane University and the University of Florida Levin College of Law. In law school, she clerked in the Office of General Counsel for Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, here she developed a passion for 1st Amendment issues facing college students. She got her start in DC as an intern for retired Congressman Tom Latham (IA-03). She also interned for the Hon. Judge Fredericka Wicker of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals of Louisiana.
Katie is active in the DC Phi Mu alumnae chapter and St. Matthew’s Cathedral Young Adult ministry, and she volunteers teaching adult English as a Second Language classes at St. Matt’s. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and cooking Southern food.
